August 7, 2007 First day to circulate petitions
October 29, 2007 First day for candidates to file nomination papers
November 5, 2007 Last day candidates to file petitions in County Clerk's Office
November 13, 2007 Last day to file objections in County Clerk's Office to candidates who file petitions with the County Clerk
December 24, 2007 Last day for state board to certify
December 27, 2007 First day absentee ballot applications are accepted.
December 27, 2007 Clerk's office will have mailed all participants of the Disabled and Student Absentee Voting program an absentee ballot application.
January 8, 2008 Voter registration ends
January 9-22, 2008 Grace Period registration and voting at 69 W Washington Chicago ONLY
January 14-31, 2008 Early Voting
February 1-4, 2008 In person absentee voting at the Clerk's office.
February 4, 2008 Last day the Clerk's office can receive absentee ballot applications from individuals admitted to a hospital, nursing home, or rehabilitation center
February 4, 2008 Last day voted mail absentee ballots can be postmarked for acceptance by the Clerk's office.
November 4, 2008 Election Day
